It's A Choice

Writing is my way through life.

As a young lady, there's always a pressure to be like everybody else.
When you see 'size' or 'shape' it's like we're meant to look a certain way
or else we're not known to be beautiful in some eyes.

I've always used writing to help me through my everyday struggles.
Instead of going to jams and parties, I chose to write and stick to my beliefs.
I chose to have class and dignity, when everyone else doesn't care.

It's hard, people judge me because I chose to be different.
I want too, it's just who I am and I can't help it if I'm brave enough to stand out.

Instead of getting high everyday and having sex with random dudes,
I chose to write. I chose to do something with my life.

Just because were young, doesn't mean we can waste these years of our lives.
So don't blame your mistakes based on the fact that your a teenager.

Stand tall, and just admit it's your choice.
At the end of the day, we chose who we want to be in this life.
Go with the flow, or be brave enough to be different.

So as you continue to waste your life, I will write.
It's no judgment, simply a personal opinion.
